Individual Therapy
Individual Counseling (also known as therapy or talk therapy) is a process that is a one-on-one conversation between a therapist and a client and is solely focused on a client’s presenting concerns. Individual counseling may involve career changes, relocating to a new city or country, family planning, parenting and children concerns, stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, marriage and relationship challenges, anger, school difficulties, and challenges in other aspects of life. A therapist identifies and explores a client’s beliefs, behaviors, triggers and emotions, assists in setting personal goals and visions, and works toward desired results and a healthy life. A therapist provides a safe, caring and confidential environment which enables trust and growth for the client.
Our Approach
Individual therapy is client-focused and client-driven, and treatment goals are determined by you and your therapist.
Individual therapy sessions typically last between 50 and 55 minutes. The frequency and duration depend mainly on your needs, treatment goals, and progress. Most concerns may be solved with short-term therapy, and more challenging concerns may require a longer-term commitment to gain noticeable improvement.
